Video

  • Flipgrid empowers social learning in PreK to PhD classrooms around the world. Use video the way your students do. Watch how it works and how it integrates with Google Classroom here.
  • To download YouTube and other videos locally to your computer use the free app 4K Video Downloader, and then upload them to OneDrive (you can do this with Google Drive as well). Make sure to download captions.

Audio

  • Audacity is a Free, open source, cross-platform audio software easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems.
  • Upload, store and share audio files with your students in Soundcloud.

  • Google Classroom helps students and teachers organize assignments, boost collaboration, and foster better communication. It also easily integrates your favorite learning tools like Flipgrid, Quizlet, Quizizz, Kahoot, and more. Here is a getting started video and here's the link to the Google Classroom help center.
  • Schoology offers powerful new technology at all grade levels to organize content, engage students, and connect to families and other educators. Schoology includes a step-by-step help center as well as how-to videos for teachers, students, and parents.

Supplement Your Classroom with Online Courses

  • SophieLearning allows users to search for courses or create there own course work. Use it to create a learning deck for students to move through different lessons, activities, and tasks in order to successfully hit the learning target. This one was created by Mrs. Wilson a few years ago on identifying tone and needs to be updated as images are no longer online, but you can see how it might work. Watch their introduction video here.
  • HippoCampus offers over 7,000 free videos in 13 subject areas for middle school to college. They offer teachers free accounts where they can create learning playlists from their content or anywhere from the web.

On-line resources to Support Families
