2020 Graduation Requirements
Whether deciding to pursue a career as a doctor or a machinist, serve in the military or enter the technology sector, Washington State students have numerous career choices post-high school. The Washington State High School Diploma provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue their dreams and demonstrate that no matter what path they pursue after high school, they are ready for work, continued education, and other opportunities. The Washington Board of Education offers this helpful high school infographic to help parents and students understand what is required to graduate.
In Case of School Closures
The following procedures shall be used when decisions are made to alter the normal school schedules due to inclement weather or emergency conditions:
The Transportation Supervisor will contact the state and county road crews and other appropriate agencies for road conditions around 4:30 a.m. These agencies will have up-to-date road information including road closures. Based upon their information, he will make a call to the superintendent to make recommendation for possible schedule changes.
Either the superintendent or their designee will then make the final decision and notify the principals of the school(s) involved in the schedule delay or closure.
Either the superintendent or their designee will notify KING 5 News, KAPS Radio, and Neah Bay School Information line of the change in schedule.
The principals will notify their teachers and activate their individual phone tree system.
