Homeless/Foster Care Information

To extend practical and as required by law, the district will work with homeless students and their families to provide stability in school attendance and other services.  Board Policy 3115 helps explain the Homeless Student's enrollment rights and services.  

Prohibition on segregation of homeless students- in providing a free and appropriate public education to a homeless child or youth, no State receiving funds under this subtitle shall segregate such child or youth in a separate school, or in a separate program within a school, based on such child's or youth's status as homeless
