Special Education Notice: Intent to Destroy Special Education Student Records

This notice is for any students who received Special Education Services (or their parents)

If you stopped receiving Special Education Services with the Cape Flattery School District between August 2006 and July 1, 2024 your records will be destroyed on August 1, 2030, unless you claim your records. To claim your records you can: 

• Call the Special Education Office at 360-963-2058

• Write the Special Education Office at Special Education, Cape Flattery School District, PO Box 109, Sekiu, WA 98381

• Email Faith.Tyler@cfsd401.org 

If you leave stop receiving Special Education Services with the Cape Flattery School District after July 1, 2024, then your records will be destroyed 6 years after you stop receiving services, unless you contact us. Letters will be sent to the last know address prior to the records being destroyed in accordance with Federal and State law. 

If you received Special Education Services prior to August 2006 your Special Education Records have already been destroyed consistent with WAC 392-172A-05235
