About Us

Located in the remote coastal region of Clallam County, Washington, the Cape Flattery School District serves approximately 493 students across its rural landscape. Our district has a deep commitment to "nurturing the holistic growth of every student," emphasizing a philosophy where the community itself serves as a classroom. We prioritize place-based, culturally relevant learning with high expectations to prepare all students to meaningfully engage in their communities.

Our district serves the communities of Neah Bay, Clallam Bay and Sekiu and their diverse populations. Nearly 77% of our students are Native American, most of whom are Makah. As a district, we strive to meet the demographics of the communities we serve. We actively recruit teachers and staff from our community and believe in supporting our community members to attain training necessary to serve as educators within our community. By investing in professional development and high-quality teaching, Cape Flattery School District aims to prepare resilient, compassionate individuals who are ready to contribute to their society.

Directions Using Hwy 112

From Tacoma- Take Hwy 16 go through Silverdale and Poulsbo- cross the Hood Canal Bridge-Follow 104- it will connect with Hwy 101. Stay on Highway 101 through Sequim and Port Angeles. On the right hand side of the road, outside of Port Angeles, take a right onto Highway 112. Follow 112 into Clallam Bay. The School is located on the right hand side of the street- across from the public library.

Continue through Clallam Bay and pass Sekiu to get to the District Office. The District Office is located on the right hand side of the street at 13-193 Highway 112.

To get to the Neah Bay School- continue on Highway 112 to Neah Bay. The school address is 3560 Deer Street. Highway 112 turns into Bay View Avenue. Take a left on Portage, then a right on Woodland Ave. Then take a left on Deer Street.

Directions Using Hwy 101

From Tacoma- Take Hwy 16 go through Silverdale, and Poulsbo- cross the Hood Canal Bridge- Follow 104-It will connect with Hwy 101. Stay on Highway 101 through Sequim and Port Angeles. Continue West on Highway 101 past Lake Crescent. Connect with Highway 113 at Sappho. Highway 113 turns into 112. Highway 112 leads right into Clallam Bay. The Clallam Bay School is located on the right hand side of the street- across from the public library.

Continue through Clallam Bay and pass Sekiu to get to the District Office. The District Office is located on the right hand side of the street at 13-193 Highway 112.
